In case you missed it earlier on today, Scotland have called-up Ryan Jack to the national team squad and rightly so with his performances for Rangers in mind.
The midfielder is one of the best in his position when it comes to what role he undertakes but for one reason or another – most of them bad – he has been overlooked for Scotland too many times.
However, Steve Clarke appears to have seen sense and has called-up the player for the upcoming, all-important, EURO 2020 games next month.
Of course, the international break isn’t usually welcomed with open arms and with Rangers flying we could do without a stoppage in proceedings but at least we’ll hopefully get to see Jack in the side against Belgium and Russia.
It’s a big chance for him and after the start to the season he has had I would expect him to do very well indeed.
