Rangers kicked off against St Mirren at 1230pm on Sunday, its just a shame that their opponents had started half an hour earlier.
As always though, three points is all that matters and that’s exactly what we came away with, Jon McLaughlin having very little to do in the end.
Other than conceding a 30-yard screamer – it happens – the defence performed really well, not giving up any chances of note and seeing off any threat reasonably comfortable, it was a standard 2-1 win away from home in the Premiership.
We won the league at a canter last season but we need to remember that there were loads of games won by a single goal and half a dozen draws, it wasn’t always free-flowing attacking football.
This team has earned our trust, however, Gers fans were far from happy at what they were seeing in the first-half and how the goal was lost, until Ianis Hagi got a grip of the game, taking to social media to vent their frustration:
Really poor from Tavernier and Lundstram, not in sync at all. Poor start to say the least!

Boggin control from Davis, dreadful “pass”from Tav, invisibility cloak from Lundstram followed by a wonder strike. Entire sequence belong in under 7’s.

Why don’t we set up differently sometimes, every team knows how we play and sets up according and that is all on Gerrard

Rangers are back to their old selfs. Aye from 3 seasons ago.

Absolutely no team fear us and see us there for the taking. We are not in good shape or form.

It was a slow start from Rangers but we need to expect teams to come out and have a go early doors, however, for all that several players could have done better in the build up, it was a cracking strike.
Jak Alnwick made some decent saves stopping it from being a bit more relaxing but this is the sort of win that is huge if we are to have title aspirations – that we came from behind, against an in-form team, shows that we have the spirit needed to repeat the feats of last season.
