Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed an effective clean bill of health for his Rangers side, following on from the midweek Champions League loss against Napoli.

There are no subsequent injury issues or worries from training in the build up to tomorrow’s important league meeting with Dundee United ahead of the two week international break, as stated by GvB:

“We don’t have any new fresh injuries after the game on Wednesday, so we have all the players available who were available in the last game.”

A run of three consecutive losses must be brought to an end on Saturday. Nothing but a win against an opponent with no manager is acceptable and quite simply, the team needs to embrace that pressure. A response was evidenced against Napoli in terms of the basics and showing the right application but a disappointing result also came from that game.

There is no such quality coming to Ibrox tomorrow so the expectation will be for a solid home win. Not only would that end the three defeats in a row, it would also signal Rangers first goal in four games. More of the same is unthinkable.

In terms of personnel, the manager has the ability to go with more of an attacking line-up for this Premiership game with Malik Tillman likely to come into consideration for a starting slot. In midfield, there is no need for a repeat of the midweek ‘buffer’ provided by Steven Davis, Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield. There could also be the potential to give Leon King a start alongside Connor Goldson with James Sands stepping into a midfield role.

Wholesale changes are not expected on this occasion.
