Rangers said to have agreed three-year deal with attacking talent

|

Rangers look to be on the verge of signing attacker Greg Stewart on a free transfer, with website Football Insider reporting he has agreed a three-year deal to move to Ibrox this summer.

The outlet reckon the on-loan Aberdeen man has agreed terms with the recruitment team at the Gers, including his signing on fee and any potential bonuses.

With his contract expiring at Birmingham City, there will be no transfer fee required.

He is now set to be Steven Gerrard’s fourth signing of the summer already after doing deals for Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie and Steven Davis.

Stewart has had a decent season in the Scottish Premiership, one which initially promised to be great when on loan at Kilmarnock in the first half of the campaign.

In 36 all competition appearances he’s managed to score 10 goals and create 10 assists, often playing in support of strikers in a ‘number 10’ role.

The 29-year-old could be the creative link between midfield and attack that the team has been crying out for throughout Gerrard’s debut season at the club.

Can he find the consistency to be a big hit at Ibrox?
