Ryan Kent’s Rangers contract is one that could go either way. It’s also one that is like to split fans whatever decision the 26-year old winger makes.

Kent’s numbers – other than scoring goals – are actually pretty good in terms of creating chances and successful dribbles, things that players in his position should be good at and yet, there are many fans in the support who are justified in their opinion that we shouldn’t be paying him as one of our biggest earners unless he starts scoring more goals.

After starring in the Europa League last season, it was thought that Rangers would have to fight off clubs, however, it hasn’t quite worked out like that and it now looks as though he could be about to leave for nothing.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, journalist Dean Jones has revealed where his next destination might be:

“I know he’s got a couple of clubs interested in him in England, there’s been a couple of clubs in Germany tracking him for a little while now as well too.

“So, we should know by the end of the year exactly which way this is going.”

Despite only scoring once this season, Kent’s highlight reel is more than good enough for teams to sit up and take notice, again, despite the team’s poor form in the Champions League, he still ranked in the top ten for dribbling. It might not impress us, but managers want individuals who can carry the ball and beat defenders.

What will be interesting is, if there are any bids in January, what decision Rangers make because the league is all but gone, however, on his day, he remains our most potent attacking threat – the question, as it was with Connor Goldson, will be about how much he wants to prove the doubters wrong and leave a legacy, rather than a collection of moments.
