International breaks are always a pain, however, they are easier to endure when your team is sitting at the top of the league and six points clear of their biggest rivals.

For the second break in succession, Rangers have reminded the rest of Scotland who the champions are, the desperation to create controversy out of a correct decision by the officials proves that they still can’t deal with our return to the top.

It’s not just a week or so of gloating that we can look forward to either because, on the other side of the internationals, we will be seeing a return to training for both Ryan Jack and Ryan Kent, as well as, hopefully, finally getting an update on Nnamdi Ofoborh’s heart situation.

Sometimes people try to over analyse or complicate things when it comes to looking at why we haven’t been at our best, the easiest explanation is the obvious one – we have been missing key players every week of the season.

Jack and Kent in particular are a huge miss, the pair start every big game for a reason.

When the Scotland international posted a picture of his boots on social media it brought a huge sense of relief to the Rangers support, he’s obviously been given good news and that a return isn’t far away.

Rangers went toe-to-toe with Inter Milan to sign Ronaldo when he left Barcelona.

The break also comes at a good time for Kent too because it means he can focus on getting fit rather than rushing to make himself available to play, we’ve seen already this season that being at 75% isn’t good enough.

The boost that the squad will get when they both return will be huge, they aren’t just good players, they lift others around them on the training pitch and on match days, the cheer they will get from supporters when they next run out at Ibrox will let them know exactly how much they’ve been missed.
