Ryan Kent has found himself under a bit of pressure over the last year or so, problems in front of goal have been largely forgiven due to his continued creativity and work-rate, however, there is only so long that his current barren run will be permitted.

The 25-year old was criticised in the aftermath of the 4-0 defeat to Celtic after switching off at two set pieces which led to goals and for all that they could have been defended a lot better, they could also have been stopped at source if he had been switched on rather than moaning at the officials, his showing in Amsterdam wasn’t much better.

He has though been given a confidence boost of sorts after his name was dropped in a list alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Raheem Sterling and Neymar Jr as one of the quickest players on the soon to be released, FIFA ’23 console game, as reported by GiveMeSport.

Below him on the list are Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane with the Gers star coming out with a rating of 91 but it’s safe to say that when the players’ full scores come out, he won’t be anywhere near them for shooting.

It’s not a coincidence that in the season we won the league Kent contributed hugely with 13 goals before scoring only three last season, when you consider that the points difference at the top of the table was only four points, another couple of important goals could have seen us win the league.

Rangers forwards have to score goals regardless of how creative they are, whether it’s a change in mindset or a tactical switch, something needs to change before Giovanni van Bronckhorst has a real decision to make, regardless of how fast Kent might be.
