Rangers stand on the edge of a potential meeting with one of Europe’s big guns if they can finish what they started against Royal Antwerp at Ibrox tonight.

We at Vital Rangers thought that there might be a goal either way in the first-leg, what we didn’t predict is that it was going to be a game of basketball that could easily have ended up 8-7.

Needing just seven points from the last eight games in the league gives Steven Gerrard plenty of room to manoeuvre with regards to his team selection and, with a few of notable absentees, we should see line-up that most fans would be able to predict.

This is the XI I’d go with to get the job done and make it through to the last 16:

The combined absence of James Tavernier, Ryan Jack and Kemar Roofe is an obvious blow, however, it does make picking a team a lot easier and after his performances at the weekend and in Belgium, there was little chance of Joe Aribo sitting this one out, he is now proving to be the match winner that we all know he is capable of being – Leon Balogun will continue to deputise at right-back after impressing so far.

The front three all scored at the weekend too and have all got previous for raising their game in the Europa League, they all seem to thrive on the big occasion, hopefully they can provide the fireworks once more with a seven-figure bonus as well as a potential glamour tie at stake.
