Here’s the latest news in brief from Rangers. First of all young Rangers goalkeeper Grant Adam has been recalled early from his loan spell at Forfar due to injury to third choice Scott Gallagher.

Rangers needed the youngster to come back in order for him to be registered for Europe as cover for Allan McGregor and Neil Alexander. The player is understandably frustrated about losing the chance to gain valuable first team experience at Station Park but quite understands the reason he has been recalled.

Rangers defender Sasa Papac is not as seriously ill as had been reported in the Sun and the Daily Record. Both tabloids ran with the story that the Bosnian had pneumonia, but Rangers have confirmed that is NOT the case an infact has a chest infection.

Papac will miss the trip to Inverness but should be back for the next game. Talking about the Inverness game, both David Weir and Steven Whittaker are desperately trying to recover from injury to face the Highland club. Weir is trying to shake off a hamstring injury while Whittaker could be set to play through the pain barrier.

Striker Nikica Jelavic should be fit to face Inverness after shaking off an injury picked up against Chelsea last week.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has revealed he will present Inverness manager Terry Butcher with a nice bottle of red wine at the game tomorrow as a thanks for helping Rangers win the championship with a win over Celtic last season.

McCoist said that he wants that to be the only thing he gives him on Saturday as he looks to take three points away from the Highlands.

Rangers youngster Kyle Hutton has said he is more determind that ever to fight for a place in team with the pending arrival of midfielders Alex Bedoya and Matt McKay.

Meanwhile fellow youngster Ross Perry is hopeful of getting some games soon after coming off the bench against Chelsea and playing for the Scotland under 21 team on Wednesday.
