Rangers’ Scottish Championship season continued with a draw against Alloa at Ibrox on Saturday.

The presentation of the Championship trophy took place following the one-one draw Rangers were held to by Alloa.

Alloa went into an early lead, once again though the Rangers defending would have been questioned, when Michael Duffy (on-loan Celtic) curled past Wes Foderingham into the corner in the opening 10-minutes.

The chance to level was spurned when Andy Halliday missed a penalty.

Alloa ‘keeper Scott Gallacher wasn’t really tested too much up to this point and when Barrie McKay was brought down he wasn’t tested from the spot either as Halliday put his penalty wide!

Halliday made amends for that on the stroke of half time when he set up James Tavernier to head in the equaliser a few minutes later, which in scoring his 15th-goal of the season with this a record goals return for a full back.

The more likely winners were Rangers but this winner couldn’t be found.

Hearts loanee Billy King would have added to his goals but for Gallacher, with the ‘keeper also saving from Liam Burt with jubilant scenes witnessed anyway at full time when the trophy was presented to the Champions to truly confirm our return to the Premiership.

Mark Warburton will be wary of the form dropping off too much ahead of the Scottish Cup final next month with a point from the last two-matches since making the final not ideal preparations but when it comes to it we’ll be ready.

These were the other results.
