According to Football Insider, Rangers are ready to sanction the loan exit for highly-rated youngster Ross McCrorie this summer.

Rangers have been excellent in recent times at getting some good signings and so I am confident that Steven Gerrard will have a similar period of success in this summer’s window.

However, he will also need to manage exits and I think the loan move of McCrorie is one that we can get behind.

He’s a good young player and could easily make it into our side in the coming seasons but, for now, it’s probably best that he goes and gets first team minutes elsewhere.

The likes of Greg Doherty and Jordan Rossiter showed what can happen by playing regularly and if McCrorie can have the same happen to him, the exit will be proven the right course of action.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if other young players are moved on temporarily this summer as we’ve got some bright talents coming through.
