Mexican club Chivas have made an enquiry for Eduardo Herrera, according to the Daily Record.
One of a number of failed signings by Caixinha, the 29 year old has scored just two goals since his £1.5m move from Pumas in the summer.
After being benched by Graeme Murty, and other players such as loanee Jason Cummings moving ahead of him in the pecking order, the striker`s future at Ibrox looks bleak.
With the club reportedly monitoring Preston`s Louis Moult, I have no doubt the Mexican will be one of the first out of the exit door in the summer when the transfer window reopens.
He just hasn`t been good enough like a number of our ex manager`s signings. We will likely have to cut our losses on him, but we should still get a decent fee.
Chivas wanted our no.15 before he joined us but couldn`t afford to sign him. The fact that they are clearly still keen to recruit him will mean we should be able to negotiate a good deal.
In the summer, we can expect our squad to undergo another overhaul, and we can hopefully use some of the money from Herrera`s sale on new recruits.
