Rangers ready to shake up key area with bargain signing

|

According to Football Insider, Rangers are looking at signing Seny Dieng from Championship side QPR in the summer window.

The Gers had a good season in Scotland this year but did struggle at times to get that extra bit of consistency instilled into the team – and that left us short in the title race.

However, that can be remedied and it looks as though Steven Gerrard is ready to shake up his goalkeeping options this summer in order to perhaps try something new.

Allan McGregor quickly established himself as number 1 this season with Wes Foderingham coming out of the team whilst Andy Firth has also joined under Gerrard’s premiership.

Dieng, meanwhile, is not a first choice at QPR at the moment but could be available on a free and so it remains to be seen what Steven’s plans are for him.

It makes you think, though, that one of our stoppers will be leaving the club this window if this deal happens.
