Nicolas Raskin isn’t just doing all the right things since signing in January, he is also saying all the right things.

Since day one, he has talked about winning, about thriving under the pressure of a draw being as good as a defeat and he has taken this mentality onto the pitch where he has shown that he is more than happy to put himself about even with a game all but on.

Now though, it would appear as if he was already a fan, well at least of one player, before he joined after he revealed that he was already casting an admiring glance to one Gers star, as reported by The Rangers Review:

“I know the Borussia Dortmund game but whenever I talked about Rangers I talked about this Ryan Kent.

“Maybe it’s because he always surprised me playing with short shirt sleeves and gloves. I’ve spoken to Ryan and I’ve also spoken to him about his shot.

“He’s a top player and he is inspiring as well. When I came to Rangers I saw him working hard every day in the gym, working to be fit.

“He’s a very good professional and that’s why he is so good. I want to learn from him.”

Raskin talks about Kent as being our best player so it is clear that the 26-year old has an authority on the training ground at Auchenhowie, there is also no way that you could ever accuse him of not looking after himself – one thing that he is, is an incredible athlete.

Players that set the standard don’t have to be die hard Rangers fans or players like Allan McGregor or Jermain Defoe who have been there and got the t-shirt. Sometimes, players like Kent, who are younger but live their life in the “right” way are just as important.
