As per the Glasgow Evening Times, Rangers could be open to letting Jamie Murphy leave the club on loan this summer as we look to get him back up to speed in the coming months.

The winger has been out of action for a while with him suffering a nasty injury that kept him out for a year and now he is back he will want to obviously be playing as soon as possible.

Whether he is at the level we need him to be is up for debate, though, and it might well be the right thing to do to send him out on loan and get him those all-important match minutes to really bring him back up to the right level.

Steven Gerrard appears open to that, then, but the winger also deserves a say in what he wants to do and the next few weeks should see a decision in that regard one way or another.

  • Looks like Murphy is off, no room for sentiment or passengers, the players need to hit the ground running and they are doing well so far, 2 big obstacles overcome Killie away Hibs at home could have ended in draws last year, just need to cut out the lapses and we will steamroll the opposition
