According to Sky Sports Scotland on Twitter, Rangers are set to sign Brandon Barker on a loan deal from Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Gers are in action this evening against FC Midtjylland but it is clear the club is not focused on just that today with them looking to strengthen the side.
Indeed, with Ryan Kent seemingly going quiet, Barker could now be the next young winger that arrives from England as the Gers look to bolster things a little bit more squad-wise.
Here’s confirmation of the news:
Sky sources understand Rangers are closing in on the signing of Brandon Barker.
The Manchester City winger is due in Glasgow today to finalise the deal.
Barker previously had a loan spell with Hibernian in 2017-18.

The Ibrox outfit will hope that he has a similar impact as Kent last season but even if he doesn’t we do have plenty of good wide-men at the club already.
He’s familiar with the game in this country after a spell with Hibs and hopefully he’ll be able to build on that and do a good job for us.
