TalkSport has claimed that Rangers are primed to make an official approach to speak to Michael Beale to become the new manager at Ibrox.

The signs have been leading this way for a potential return to Glasgow for the QPR head coach who has previously been clear on his remaining affection for the club, but now things are getting very serious.

From a QPR perspective, they need to know where they stand amid this latest upheaval after Wolves previously tried and failed to prise their man away from west London. On that occasion, the former Liverpool and Chelsea academy coach opted against the massive opportunity presented to him but will he really turn down the chance to take over at Ibrox, even if he has reservations.

The dialogue between potential manager and the club would be very interesting to say the least given the acrimonious sentiment that was expressed when he left the club in November last year along with Steven Gerrard and the rest of his staff.

Now, following spells at Aston Villa and a fledgling period as manager in his own right at QPR, it appears as if Michael Beale will be offered the chance to succeed Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Rangers.

It appears that we won’t have long to wait to find out the conclusion on this one, as was previously intimated Rangers chiefs are looking for a relatively quick solution to aim to move forward on the pitch. There is certainly a lot of work to be done.
