New Rangers midfielder Matt McKay has been granted his work permit but still has a bit of paperwork to tie up in Australia. Therefore he won’t be here until next week.

He has to gain a visa to travel to Scotland back in his native Australia but that should be tied up on time for him to be included in the squad for the Aberdeen game next weekend.

Hopefully he will be a great inclusion to the squad.

The Brisbane Roar captain is delighted that the work permit has been granted, he told the BBC: “Waiting on a work permit was a worry, but I’m very happy that the deal has gone through and I’m really looking forward to getting over there and getting some results.”
