The Sun today reports that Rangers and Celtic would stand to earn a cool £20 million per season as part of a new EPL 2.
Bolton chairman Phil Gartside will put forward his proposals today at a meeting of all English Premier League clubs, and with support coming from the likes of Davie Moyes, Harry Redknapp, Martin O’Neill and Alex McLeish, the idea is starting to look like more than pie in the sky.
Another aspect of the proposal would see an Irish franchise invited to join the set-up, further expanding the reach of the new league.
This is starting to look like both the only and LAST hope of Rangers and Celtic in terms of escaping the leeches of the SPL who live off of the fans they claim they hate.
