Alfredo Morelos has come under a bit of friendly fire recently, on top of being the main protagonist in missing chances against Hearts, he has also committed the cardinal sin of appearing to “shh” fans in an instagram post – hardly the way to gt them back on side.

However, it would appear that El Bufalo’s post may not have been aimed at the fans after all, an interview with media in his homeland revealed that the Colombian international has never been happier, and is in no rush to leave Ibrox anytime soon, as reported by the Glasgow Times:

“Rangers fans are loyal fans who support us everywhere we play.

“That feeling of knowing fans travelled to other countries, far away from Glasgow, is wonderful.

“I feel that unconditional support, they love me a lot, they cheer my name at every game in every stadium.

“As a player, this motivates me to keep working, keep playing well and to want to stay playing there for years to come.”

It’s great to hear him sound so focussed on Rangers and the task he has in front of him although I can’t see him being around for years, he clearly loves being at the club.

Rangers are far from the one man team that Gerrard inherited but we are, like any side, still reliant on our strikers to make the difference when it matters most, his team-mates can’t be accused of not making chances for him so the buck will ultimately fall at his feet until he finds his shooting boots again.

The gaffer has backed the enigmatic striker to come good though which suggests that Morelos will be afforded the same luxury as others who have had sticky spells and given the opportunity to play his way back into form, if Kemar Roofe could also find his it would make a massive difference because we all known – on their game – they are two of the best strikers around.
