Rangers will be looking to challenge Celtic at the top of the tree this coming season in Scotland as it is about time we reclaim our rightful place as champions of Scotland.

The Gers are closing the gap and this summer I have been impressed by some of the work we have done – and what the Bhoys have not done also bodes well.

Indeed, the momentum seems to be growing and Jordan Jones has told Sky Sports that things are going the right way under Steven Gerrard and that he is enjoying things.

“He is a massive name in football.

“I got told he is very demanding and I can see that he is.

“I am enjoying it so far. It is a massive time for the club, the squad is massive and there is going to be healthy competition for places.”

This is surely a positive message to potential new signings that, yes, Steven Gerrard will demand a great deal but you will enjoy it and, more than likely, it’ll get the best out of you.

He had the highest of expectations as a player, it is good to see that he wants only that for us as a club too.
