According to The Mirror, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has turned down the chance to leave Ibrox this summer for Newcastle United.
The boss has been linked with a move to the Magpies and the report cemented that with the apparent revelation that the men from Tyneside have looked to bring him in.
However, it seems as though they have not been successful in trying to get him.
Indeed, the report reveals that Gerrard has rejected the chance to move to St James’ Park and it is clear that his commitment to our cause remains full.
The former Liverpool midfielder knows that loyalty is a big deal to us and with him displaying that at Anfield several times during his career he is clearly a man of his word.
He seems ready to take the challenge to Celtic this season coming as we go for the title and it’ll be interesting to see if he can do that.
