Rangers man reveals measure taken for club to hopefully have improved league campaign

As quoted by the Sun, James Tavernier has revealed the measures he and Steven Gerrard have put in place that should see our title chances given a boost this season.

The Gers always have to be considered title challengers and this season we certainly have a real chance of finally getting back on top and where we belong.

Our summer business has been better than them across the city and I would say we have a better array of coaching talent in charge, too, so we’ve got a great platform.

We’ll be looking to be more disciplined next season, too, as it appears that the club will be clamping down heavily on those that get sent off – we had 12 men received reds last year.

Tav revealed:

“Heavier fines are in place. Me and the gaffer had a chat and I definitely welcome it.”

Such regular dismissals cannot help in the long run and if we can sort this we should have a stronger squad throughout the season.

Perhaps this is the edge we’ll need to topple Celtic.
