Rangers man reportedly being targeted for late transfer exit this summer

|

According to the Scottish Sun, St Johnstone want to sign midfielder Jason Holt this summer with the player well out of Steven Gerrard’s plans by the looks of things.

The Gers have started this season well and that has carried on from the good work in the summer that saw the squad nicely strengthened.

However, there is still time in the window for business, though it seems fair to suggest that we’ll see more exits than arrivals now.

And, indeed, Jason Holt could be one of those to go, with him well down the pecking order in midfield and St Johnstone apparently looking at him.

He spent last season on loan at Fleetwood Town under former Ger Joey Barton but a move back to the Cod Army does not appear on the cards at the moment.

He may well stay in Scotland, then, with just over a week to go in the market.
