Rangers and Cowdenbeath have shared the costs to bring in pitch protection specialists ahead of this Wednesday’s Scottish Cup Fourth Round tie, as reported by The Daily Record.
The paper say at that state-of-the-art covering and incubation was laid on Monday to ensure the rearranged tie goes ahead after initially being postponed on 18th January due to a frozen pitch.
The match was controversially called off with Rangers supporters left fuming and Cowdenbeath pointing fingers at the Ibrox club for pushing for the tie to be postponed.
Fortunately it looks like both sides are now pushing the boat out to make sure there is no drama at Central Park this time around.
Rangers will be hoping to pick up a convincing victory after impressing against Livingston, with a Fifth Round match away to Kilmarnock the prize for Wednesday night’s victors.
A replay would only add to our fixture congestion so a committed and professional performance is required.
