According to Football Insider, Rangers are ready to offer Allan McGregor a new contract to keep him at the club past this season.
The veteran goalkeeper has been our number one ever since he came back to the club and he has performed well with him one of our more consistent performers on a regular basis.
Certainly, he is a player of real quality and despite him getting ever closer to 40, he is showing no signs of stopping yet and it is clear Rangers feel the same.
Indeed, they are apparently ready to sort out a new deal for the player to get him signed on and that will not be welcome news to Wes Foderingham.
The number 2 might well have hoped that McGregor would be off sooner rather than later but it looks as though he might well not be, and that is going to make things difficult for him.
