It’s being reported this evening that Rangers have struck an agreement with Cardiff City for Welsh international defender Declan John.

Sky Sports are reporting this evening that a season long loan deal has been agreed for the 22 year old and he was expected in Glasgow later this evening for a medical on Thursday, and then the deal should be complete with time to spare in the Deadline window.

John came through Cardiff City’s youth system and made 16 appearances for them last year, although he’s yet to feature for the first team this campaign.

The left back has previously taken in loan spells with Barnsley and Chesterfield and he has two senior Welsh caps to his name following his debut in a World Cup qualifier against Macedonia back in 2013.
