It’s been an eventful week for Kai Kennedy.

The subject of three failed bids from West Ham United was promoted back to the Rangers first-team before heading out on loan to Championship side Dunfermline where he will get the opportunity to prove that he should get a chance under Steven Gerrard next season.

The 19-year old forward, speaking to The Courier, is intent on making an impact so that he can fulfil his dream of making the first-team at Ibrox:

“You go out on loan to prepare and be ready to go back and be part of Rangers first team. That is my ambition.

“I just kept my head. I kept working hard no matter what happened behind the scenes.

“Whatever happened, happened and I am just glad to be at Dunfermline and getting back to playing football.”

Kennedy is a talented player, there is no doubt about that, the fact that he was named in UEFA’s Youth League team of the season and wanted by both Bayern Munich and Manchester City suggests that he could have a big future in the game.
