According to the Bristol Post, Rangers have joined the race for Tomas Kalas with a number of teams apparently keen on the central defender.
The player is still contracted to Chelsea rather amazingly and it looks as though he could be on for another move away this summer – though whether that is permanent or not remains to be seen.
He did well at Bristol City last season, of course, and they are interested but so are we whilst other Championship clubs are also involved.
However, this appears to be a race that won’t be sorted straightaway as Kalas apparently does not want to think about things until after his international spell away with the Czech Republic.
Rangers will have to play a waiting game, then, but it could be worth it given we need a player of his ilk in his position at the moment.
A new centre-half is definitely needed.
