We’ve seen photographs, a personal video diary and an interview from the club, however, Ianis Hagi’s return to “proper” training has always seemed like something that was never going to become a reality. Certainly not in the imminent future anyway.
There has been no official announcement yet that he is in full training but those who were paying attention to our new head of performance’s interview on Rangers TV will have seen the Romanian international joining in with the rest of his team-mates.
With Jack Ade speaking about his role and the work he has done previously, the video would cut to him observing training and seeing Hagi with the rest of the group rather than on his own which will be a huge boost for Michael Beale, especially if the friendly against Bayer Leverkusen is anything to go by.

With three attacking midfielders playing behind a striker, they were allowed to rotate and find space anywhere in the attack and Hagi will be perfect at this.
His ability to use both feet, pick passes in congested defences and make runs into the box means that he will be a huge asset to a team that will throw the shackles off and not be as restricted in their positions.
Hagi definitely comes under the category of not appreciating what we have until it isn’t there, even in Gio’s early days he provided moments that made a difference, it’s just a shame that the Dutchman wasn’t able to call on him more often during his tenure.
Michael Beale wants to excite fans and with Ianis Hagi soon to be available, will make his job an awful lot easier.
