The first post-split fixture is upon us and we face the only team to score more than once against us in the league this season as Hibernian come to Ibrox – however, one of them was offside right enough….

Steven Gerrard will still be without James Tavernier – who could be back for the Old Firm – and Ryan Jack who, unfortunately, still doesn’t have a clear prognosis.

There is good news though in that Nathan Patterson, Bongani Zungu and Calvin Bassey are still available with the SFA kindly delaying their hearing until after the Old Firm Scottish Cup fixture.

With this in mind, this is the team I think the gaffer will go with to get all three points and maintain hopes of an unbeaten league campaign:

The first choice front three is Ryan Kent, Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos, and they haven’t played together anywhere near as often as Gerrard would have liked, it would be nice to see them build up a head of steam though with three derbies and a trophy still to play for.

Midfield is very much a case of horses for courses, Steven Davis and Glen Kamara will start so it will depend on how we plan to play which will see either Joe Aribo or Scott Arfield get the nod.

Hibs are capable of causing problems and are capable of scoring goals, but if Rangers play with the same intensity that they did last weekend, they simply won’t be able to keep up.
