“Big transfer fee” claim for Kamara departure

There’s a saying about opinions and everybody having one…

I’ve long thought that Glen Kamara would be heading out the door this summer, however, with no bids and the rumours dying down it looks as though he could be here when the transfer window shuts.

Former Ger, Alan Hutton, revealed that he thinks the Finland international will still be a player who Giovanni van Bronckhorst will keep at the club and he isn’t the only one with former Sky Sports man Peter O’Rourke also backing Rangers to play hard ball with any offers unless they are too good to turn down, as told to GiveMeSport:

“I think it would take a big transfer fee for Rangers to agree to sell Glen Kamara right now. He is still a key man for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and I’m sure he’d ideally like to keep hold of the midfielder.”

After Tom Lawrence’s display against Union Saint-Gilloise, I just don’t think that Kamara is as important as he used to be.

Malik Tillman, at just 20-years old, is growing with stature every game and looks like he will nail down the number ten slot, like Lawrence, he has a mobility and flexibility that is more appropriate for the roles that Gio likes to operate within his midfield.

I could well be wrong but I just can’t help thinking that, if he was given the choice, the Gers gaffer would rather go out and get another dominant defensive midfielder or a proper number eight, neither of which is Glen Kamara.
