Rangers fans face a nervous wait over the next few weeks knowing that at least one of their star performers will be heading out the Ibrox exit door.

The latest rumour, again, concerns the future of Glen Kamara with another Premier League side said to be joining the queue for his signature.

Everton are now one of a few English sides interested in the Finland international, as reported by The Daily Record:

“Everton are the latest club linked with wanted Glen Kamara.

“The Rangers midfielder was excellent at Euro 2020 during the group stage as Finland showed plenty despite missing out on the knockouts.

“It was his country’s first major tournament and Everton new manager Rafa Benitez has now joined the race to sign him, but face competition from two Premier League rivals.

“Brentford and Watford are understood to be keen and now Eurosport claim an ‘unnamed Russian club’ will also make a move.”

It would be a blow to lose a player as good as Kamara but with him missing almost all of the Champions League qualifiers due to his ridiculous UEFA ban, Steven Gerrard will be preparing his team without him in the line up anyway.

How many players do Rangers have at the Euros this summer?

There is also the fact that Ryan Jack will soon be returning to fitness and both Nnamdi Ofoborh and John Lundstram have been added to the squad.

The fact that we only paid £50,000 for Kamara should have no bearing on how high Ross Wilson sets his price tag, he strolled the European Championships and if more than one Premier League side is bidding, we know how deep their pockets are and they should be made to pay accordingly.
