As quoted by BBC Sport, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Liverpool are not going to let Ryan Kent leave the club on loan and that they will only sell him this summer window now.
The winger was excellent for us last season and was seen as a target for us again this summer window with us wanting to try and get another loan deal for the campaign arranged.
However, such hopes of us doing that appear to have gone up in smoke with Klopp revealing that the winger will only be leaving Merseyside if it is on a permanent basis.
“His time is over for loans.
“At the age he is now, he needs to find a place where he can settle. We will see what happens but a loan is not planned.”
This is a setback for us without doubt. Whether or not Rangers can stump up the cash that Liverpool want remains to be seen but you get the feeling that’ll be a tall order.
We all want to see Kent return but it could well be the case that that is just a pipe dream for now.
