Rangers get emphatic hint that key man is staying this summer

|

Rangers get their European campaign underway in just a few hours from now and it is always an exciting moment in the year.

This game against St. Joseph’s in Gibraltar is the first competitive match of the campaign and that means the Gers will need to be at it to get the result that they should really be achieving.

And, in some good news ahead of it, Steven Gerrard has clearly hinted that he’ll be staying put this summer with him brushing aside talk of him moving to Newcastle United as manager.

Quoted by Four Four Two, he was asked about the speculation involving him and the Magpies and he had this to say:

“Fake news.”

This, then, would suggest that he has not heard anything from the Magpies and that he has no plans on moving elsewhere as we look to get our European campaign underway.

It’s a pretty emphatic way of going about things but basically copying Donald Trump but as long as he is telling the truth, that is all that matters.
