Rangers get at least one Steven Gerrard future boost

|

According to the Derbyshire Telegraph, there is nothing in the rumours going around that Steven Gerrard could become Derby manager this summer.

This will certainly come as a boost to our fans for sure.

The boss is starting to sign more players this summer and really shape his squad, so to have him whipped away from us in the off-season would be a blow.

However, despite the continued speculation about the Derby job should Frank Lampard leave the club, it appears that Gerrard to Derby is a non-starter.

For sure, you can surely see why, too, given that the Rams are probably going to struggle after losing players following their play-off final whilst we have a genuine chance of the title this season.

This is one boost over the boss’ future this summer, then, whilst a report from Football Insider suggests that Newcastle United are interested in him after Rafa Benitez left earlier this week.
