Speaking to PLZ Soccer’s YouTube channel, Barry Ferguson has suggested that Alfredo Morelos could well leave the club this summer.

The South American striker had a stellar campaign with 30 goals recorded but it could have perhaps been a lot more given how much time he spent suspended.

That is what he needs to address if he is at the club for next season but former captain Ferguson reckons that we might have seen the last of him.

He said when asked if he thought Morelos might go:

“It looks that way to me. If Rangers get a decent offer in, they have got to seriously consider it if it’s around the £8 million mark – if you’re asking me I don’t think he’ll be [at Rangers next season].”

This comes just days after Steven Gerrard had perhaps hinted he was confident Morelos would be staying put this summer – given that he’d only ever had to field one, derisory bid for the forward.

It remains to be seen who is right in their prediction, then, but it is safe to assume that we haven’t heard the last – either way – about the future of the striker this summer for sure.
