Quoted by Rangers TV via the Scottish Sun, Gers captain James Tavernier has been quick to talk up the early impressions he has had of new signing Sheyi Ojo.
The winger arrived from Liverpool at the start of the week and will be at Ibrox for the season with a loan deal being struck.
He has plenty of pace and trickery out wide and it seems as though the full-back and skipper has been impressed with what he has seen in training so far:
“I have seen in the past couple of days how strong a runner he is and I can’t wait to see him out on the pitch properly.”
Some promising words for sure, but training is only one part of things – you’ve got to do it in the games as well.
Ojo hasn’t always shone on loan spells away from Liverpool but he’s now at the biggest club of his career in terms of those spells away from the Reds.
This could be a big chance for him, and hopefully he is going to embrace it with both hands.
