The Rangers squad looks pretty settle now, the new additions are settling in to life at Rangers and just a few games in have already experienced a blockbuster night at Ibrox.

With Glenn Middleton away to Dundee United and Jack Simpson signing for Cardiff City, Ross Wilson has made a dent in to the list of “non-contributors” in the squad, one name who might be joining that list – if reports are to be believed – is Fashion Sakala.

The Zambian international is a bit of a Marmite player in that some fans genuinely don’t rate the 25-year old at all despite netting 12 times from barely the same number of starts, an apparent lack of clarity in possession and lapses in defence making him an easy target.

His productivity, regardless of how he does it, can’t be questioned though and a goal or assist every 114 minutes is more than respectable, something that has caught the eye of Burnley according to The Daily Express but, as yet, there has been no official contact, as claimed by Jonny McFarlane of The Rangers Review.

“Regarding Fashion Sakala being on the move, I understand there’s been no contact between Burnley and Rangers over the striker. He has his work cut out to get in the team but things can change over course of a season.”

There have been rumours of Sakala having a small injury but this wouldn’t explain why he is still appears to be behind Scott Wright in the pecking order and he is far from first choice himself.

The £3million fee mentioned would certainly be one that is worth entertaining, especially if Giovanni van Bronckhorst has no intentions of adding to his already party zero minutes played so far this season.
