It had to happen.
No sooner had John Lundstram won over even the most stubborn of Rangers fan, he found himself responsible for St Mirren taking the lead after just 4 minutes.
Bearing in mind that the goal was scored from 30-odd yards, it’s a bit of a leap to suggest any individual player is at fault.
Steven Davis and James Tavernier could have done better, however, Lundstram had his pocket picked in midfield, in itself not a big issue until Connor Ronan wrapped one into the top corner.
Football fans are a fickle bunch and we are notoriously unforgiving, we all know what Richard Gough said about only being as good as your last pass.
Thankfully, Lundstram and company redeemed themselves and managed to get the three points but it’s amazing how quickly a player can go from hero to villain in a Light Blue shirt:
Davis 🤔 Tav poor pass and Lundstrum allowing the ball to be taken off him 😐

Any chance of closing people down Lundstram?

Why’s Lundstram not launching himself in front of that or doing anything at all to put him off? So slow casually trotting back.

Some strike but Lundstram weak in the middle there

Lundstrom was bullied off the ball by a kid then couldn’t keep up. Wonderful strike. Let’s hope Morelos can get scoring and Roofe a few tap ins. Honestly, they don’t do it the easy way…

Lundstrum back on fraudwatch

Normally, Lundstram would have got away with losing possession, however, as he has found out pretty quickly in his Rangers career, mistakes simply aren’t tolerated, regardless of who you are or how well you’ve been playing.
