Rangers internationals have had a good week so far either individually or as a collective and Swedish centre-half, Filip Helander, is no different with his country qualifying for Euro 2020 and him getting an assist in his side’s 3-0 win over the Faroe Isles.
Helander has a difficult task to dislodge first choice pairing Andreas Granqvist and Victor Lindelof but he has certainly proven to be an able deputy, his recent performances for Rangers have shown that he can be trusted if called upon.
The big Swede has, in particular, excelled in the Europa League with stand-out performances against Feyenoord and in both matches against Porto. One shaky performance on the plastic pitch of Livingston aside, he has looked every inch the £3m signing from Serie A.
Rangers fans took to Twitter to congratulate Helander with many just using it as an excuse for a sing-song.
Gimme gimme gimme Helander at Midnight ……

Who is Rangers best centre-half?
Connor Goldson
Filip Helander
Niko Katic
George Edmundson
Helander has settled in well since displacing fans’ favourite Nikola Katic from the first team as Rangers look to win their first league title since 2010/11, a solid defence could be the difference in the Ibrox club winning number 55.
