Rangers Word On The Tweet

Rangers fans hoping for return of key player as Leicester City friendly is revealed

Rangers will play a closed friendly fixture at Ibrox today against the Premier League’s high-flying Leicester City which was revealed on Twitter by prominent fans blog/podcast Four Lads Had a Dream.

Steven Gerrard will see the fixture as an ideal opportunity to give game time to some of his fringe players that haven’t been involved in the international break and who won’t be playing when domestic football returns on Sunday with the short trip to Hamilton.

Interestingly, this is the second time that former Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, has done Rangers a favour, midfielder Andy King was sent up on loan with the Midlands club making it a “no brainer” for Gerrard, the Welshman is short of game time and may well face his parent club.

These Rangers fans took to Twitter after the announcement and backed the decision to get competitive action for those returning from injury and on the fringes.

Whereas, these fans enjoyed the quote from Leicester that Rangers are “Scotland’s premier club,” which is sure to trigger the noisy neighbours.
