The 21-year-old made the move to Ibrox back in late January for an undisclosed fee from Hamilton Academicals. His first half a season with us was a mixed period to be fair, but he did go on to add ten starting appearances to his career tally along with four more from the substitutes bench.
He heads out to New Meadow for the entire 2018/19 campaign and having now completed the switch, he is in line to make his debut for them as they face Charlton Athletic this weekend.
It should be a good spell for the youngster you’d think and it should get him good game time, enable him to impress again and possibly return with far greater confidence than he has now if manager Steven Gerrard continues to see him in his plans further down the line.
Could be best thing for him. Get game time and come back to us next season a better player and be a regular.

Absolutely top guy but his time will come he's still a young lad. Hope he shines down there so he keeps his place with us.

Let’s hope so. Still doesn’t make sense that Halliday is at the club and worst of all, getting cameo appearances/minutes for our club. He simply is not good enough.

As the above social media tweets show, plenty are rooting for him and are hoping this loan spell does the trick and we can see the best of him, owing to his potential, next season.
