Rangers have made some real progress in the summer window in recent weeks and it is pleasing to see the squad coming together.

Joe Aribo, Sheyi Ojo and Greg Stewart are just a few of the names that have arrived and it remains to be seen who else the Gers look to sign.

However, one report in the Scottish Sun has suggested that we might as well forget all about Martin Skrtel and trying to sign him.

Indeed, the report has alleged that Rangers have categorically ruled out a move for the experienced centre-half.

We could do with one more option in the middle of the defence for sure but Skrtel might well be too expensive wages wise.

He’s played for Liverpool and Fenerbahce in his career and would be experienced but it might be wise that we don’t go for him if he is going to prove a financial problem.
