Manager Steven Gerrard saw his Rangers side take to the pitch once again on Sunday and fresh from a Europa League boost against Villarreal in midweek, we went and stuck five past St Johnstone.
Goals from James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos, Scotty Arfield, Kyle Lafferty and Daniel Candeias gave us the three points and it lifted us above Celtic into joint second place with Hibernian and Livington, but we sit above them based on goal difference.
With plenty of reasons for the headlines to go elsewhere from the game, a section of the Rangers fan base didn’t want Lassana Coulibaly’s efforts to go unnoticed and they took to social media to ensure the 22-year-old received the plaudits his showing deserved.
Coulibaly is such an animal! We better get him on a permanent deal

The Mali international midfielder has quickly established himself as a fan favourite given his displays in the middle of the park and plenty were worried when it took him longer than expected to recover from his knock earlier in the season, but he’s definitely back to his best and he’s quickly become a priority for the club in terms of securing his permanent signature as quickly as we can.
He has all the makings of being a potential legend in the future.
There were a number of other comments that I spotted but we have to think of the kids so I can’t print those ones! Suffice to say, they were equally positive about his performance, they just used more colourful language to describe it.
