Rangers transfer target Dominic Solanke is also wanted by Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to website Fotomac.

The outlet reckon that chairman Abdurrahim Albayrak has been locked in talks with the Reds about a potential move Divock Origi, but that Solanke’s name has now also been raised in a potential deal.

You’ll likely have noticed that the Gers have been heavily linked with a move for the young attacking prospect, with The Scottish Sun leading reports that Steven Gerrard is set to land the player on a January loan.

Solanke is looking for first-team football in the second half of the season having failed to convince Jurgen Klopp he is at the level required so far this term.

That comes after heavy use off the bench last season, with the English U21 international making 25 appearances for the Anfield club.

With interest in Alfredo Morelos expected when the window opens, Solanke could be the perfect insurance policy against his departure, also offering Gerrard an improved alternative option to the Colombian if he stays.

Can we convince Liverpool that his development is best served in Glasgow?
