Sunderland are the latest team to show interest in Rangers transfer target Glen Kamara, potentially scuppering a move to Ibrox in 2019, according to The Daily Mail.

The paper say that the Gers are one of a number of teams tracking the Dundee midfielder’s progress, with Sunderland recently sending scouts to watch the player in international action for Finland.

Rated at £270,000 by Transfermarkt, Kamara’s current deal at Dens runs out in the summer, although the Dees have offered new terms to the former Arsenal prospect.

He’s become an important first-team player in Neil McCann’s squad, although has missed periods of this season due to a knee injury.

The Daily Mail reckon that teams like Wolves, Burnley and Celtic are also all interested in signing him up on the cheap, with Dundee perhaps tempted to cash in before his contract runs down.

Rangers are well stocked in the midfield area as it stands, but potentially bringing in one of the brighter talents in Scottish football on the cheap is certainly tempting.

Will the Gers make a move?
