According to the Daily Record, Rangers are looking south of the border in order to try and replace Mark Allen as Director of Football.

Allen left many surprised with his decision to leave the club late last week and the Gers are now on the hunt for his successor.

Indeed, they are going to need to get someone particularly good in after the job Allen did and it remains to be seen who exactly is going to come in.

And, according to the Record, it’s Southampton’s Ross Wilson that the Gers are looking at in particular.

Southampton have a good record in recent years with players and recruitment so in that sense Wilson might well be a decent addition to the club.

Certainly, though, we need to make sure we get this right and appoint someone that will continue Allen’s good work as, really, few of us would have really wanted him to have left in the first place.
