As football fans we usually want it all.

As Rangers fans we always want it all, every game, every trophy, no exceptions, however, this year has been slightly different.

We are just four wins away from securing our first Scottish Premiership league title since 2010/11, it is that close you can almost touch it, but as the slip up against Hamilton showed, chickens should not yet be counted.

Tonight we take on Royal Antwerp in the Europa League and for all that progressing to the next round would be great for the club’s reputation – which continues to be restored at continental level – without fans in attendance, is there the same appetite for success?

It is a tie that is certainly winnable, we beat Standard Liege in both group games and the teams are of a similar level, a possible draw with one of Europe’s big names awaits in the next round but there is more to it than that.

The lack of fans carries it’s own problem though, money.

Something catastrophic would have to happen for us to fail to finish what we have started domestically and – if anything – we played our best football this season when the games were coming thick and fast, so thoughts of resting or rotating in mid-week should be put aside, beating Antwerp carries a seven-figure bonus as well as increasing the revenue from TV coverage.

Should Gerrard rotate for Europa League?

Yes

Yes

No

If the Scottish Cup is to be cancelled this season it could be that the Europa League is the only other competition we have to juggle, and at a time when every penny counts, winning is everything.
