A new date has been announced for Rangers’ Scottish Premiership trip away to Hibernian at Easter Road.

As announced on the official Hibs website, the two sides will now face-off on December 19th, a Wednesday night encounter that will be broadcast live on BT Sport.

The match was originally due to take place on October 28th, but obviously it had to be postponed due to Steven Gerrard side’s involvement in the Scottish League Cup semi-final at Hampden.

The game will be sandwiched between a home match against Hamilton and a trip to Perth to face St Johnstone.

With league form patchy in the early stages of the season, that will undoubtedly be a huge week, with nine points at stake.

It’ll be the first meeting with our Edinburgh rivals since the thrilling 5-5 match at Easter Road back in May.

Rangers were undefeated at the venue last season, adding a win to that draw last December thanks to first half goals from Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos.
